You extend that down and intersect it with the cube, and voila! you have the basic shape. Then you draw the outline of the top view, with the narrow neck and the hole. Then you cut a hole through it, to make that hollow bit in the stand. What I found really neat about the construction of this object was that it starts from a cube. The tutorial video is just a bit over 20 minutes and even with going back and watching bits a second time to pick up something I missed, I got this thing created in less than half an hour. I made a thing from one of the tutorials. The tutorial videos are really well done and there are a lot of them. I’m not sure if it is more powerful than Sketch 3D, but it is certainly much easier to use and far better documented. It’s also $240 a year on the cheaper plan, so that’s a problem.
